When All Lies Die by Felicity Lennie
5 Star Rating
A Spellbinding Mystery!
Felicity Lennie’s WHEN ALL LIES DIE has all the elements of a great mystery novel. I haven’t read anything this well written since the last time I read an Agatha Christie, Ruth Rendell, or an Elizabeth George mystery.
Lennie offers up a cornucopia of highly imaginative plotlines for the reader to feast on: the beloved Creusot Manor, a Po Lin statue, assassins, corrupt businessmen, murders, a kidnapping and interesting locations that all make for a riveting read. The heroine Anne de Creusot, a young writer, gets innocently drawn into an international murder investigation when John, her brother-in-law, benefactor and only living relative, mysteriously disappears overnight and is then accused of assassinating the head of a foreign country. In her quest to find out the truth about John, Anne finds herself a target, caught up in one of the most deadly conspiracies that wreaks havoc, and causes death and destruction in its wake.
Author Felicity Lennie’s richly textured characters, whether good or evil, are brilliantly dangled before you, daring the reader to solve the whodunits, but alas, Lennie artfully keeps the reader in suspense until the very end. She enthralls the reader with her superb storytelling skills and her unique talent for keeping the intricate plotlines running smoothly all the way through. Bravo!
